Meghan Thomas Mitchell, MD, FAAD is a board certified dermatologist. She graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University with a degree in Engineering. Dr. Mitchell served in the Navy teaching the basics of reactor physics to sailors. She then pursued her lifelong dream of a career in medicine. Returning to her hometown of Chapel Hill, NC, she earned her M.D. at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Mitchell completed her dermatology residency at the University of North Carolina Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident. Following residency, she and her family moved to the metro area, where she initially practiced with a local dermatology group before starting Rock Creek Dermatology. Dr. Mitchell considers herself fortunate to have her own practice where she can provide excellent, compassionate dermatology care for the community. In her free time, Dr. Mitchell shuttles kids to sports practices, enjoys audiobooks and cooking. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Meghan Mitchell sees patients at both the Silver Spring and Urbana locations.
Maria G. Sotomayor, MD is a board certified dermatologist by the American Board of Physician Specialties. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders in adults, adolescents and pediatrics as well as in cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Sotomayor earned her medical degree from Federico Villarreal National University in Lima, Peru. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine, residency in Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of South Florida College of Medicine where she served as a Chief Resident in Academics. Dr. Sotomayor moved to the DC area after ten years of private practice in Tampa, Florida. She joined Anne Arundel Dermatology after three and a half years as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at George Washington University. Dr. Sotomayor is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Florida West Coast Dermatology Society. She is also bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish. Dr. Sotomayor sees patients at the Silver Spring office.
Molly S. Roberts, PA-C is a board certified physician assistant. She joined Rock Creek Dermatology with many years of experience in dermatology. Molly graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Rutgers University in New Jersey. After graduation, Molly and her husband returned to North Carolina, where she worked joined a busy medical dermatology practice. When her husband’s job brought them to Maryland, Molly joined the Johns Hopkins University Department of Dermatology where she saw patients in the adult and pediatric clinics. With the desire to move closer to the DC Metro area, she accepted the opportunity to join Rock Creek Dermatology. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters, and their lazy Great Dane. Molly is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants. Molly sees patients at the Silver Spring and Urbana offices.
